I colorized this using AI software that doesn't always get the colors right, but I think it looks fairly natural. Hopefully a more professional job will be done someday.

Dr Donnachaidh
I am reminded watching this despite the relationship played in this movie by Ankers and Cheney the two did not get on. The two went on to do several other movies together though their relationship did not improve. It is well documented that Cheney was a very heavy drinker by 1941 and could be obnoxious to the point of being abusive when drunk. This movie sticks in my memory for the sheer number of continuity blunders, so much so that it appears the director lost all and any interest in attempting to maintain any continuity between shots. Despite its flaws, The Wolf Man remains one of the era's memorable and iconic horror movies.

Cloths
One thing I always found comical about this film, and a directors glitch, was the wardrobe of the Wolfman! He always has different cloths on while he changes into the Wolfman, afterwards he has what looks like work cloths. We all know after he becomes the Wolfman, all sense, common that is. flies out the window, with nothing but the mind of a beast, all he has on his mind is killing. Changing cloths would never happen. Just saying! Loved this movie though, and all other films Lon did of the Wolfman! Thanks for the color version. I wish Universal would come out with their own color version of these timeless classics!

The Wolf Man (1941)
The quality of the cinematography is almost unbelievable...The details in the faces and the wardrobe of the actors are razor sharp...
For me, the story line wasn't very entertaining but generally I'm glad I watched...

Super Classic
The first of the great Lon Chaney Jr./Lawrence Talbot Werewolf films. (The last was "Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein"). "Even a man who's pure of heart and says his prayers at night.................."
